In March 2026, several Consortium members travelled to Nanjing, China, for the Eaglenos International Summit on Kidney Health and Disease Prevention — a gathering of nephrologists, researchers, healthcare innovators and one midwife from across the world, including colleagues from Ghana, Uganda, Senegal, Kazakhstan, the UK and beyond.

Consortium members Kate Bramham, Katherine Clark, Gavin Dreyer and Robert Kalyesubula joined Abdou Niang, Abduzhappar Gaipov and Bogdan Milojkovic for two days of discussion, case sharing and hands-on time with Eaglenos point of care diagnostic technology.
The conversations focused on cutting edge research in kidney disease management, regional case studies, and how innovative diagnostics can close the gap in PrAKI and CKD screening, particularly in settings where laboratory testing is unavailable or unreliable. For the Global PrAKI Snapshot, where point of care creatinine testing will be central to phase two, this partnership matters.

Eaglenos are not just a technology company. They share the conviction that fighting kidney disease requires global collaboration and that the tools to do it need to work everywhere, not just in well-resourced settings. We left Nanjing energised, with new friendships and a clearer shared vision.
