The World Congress of Nephrology in Tokyo was a landmark moment for the Global PrAKI Consortium. Katherine Clark, Kate Bramham and Rasha Shemies were invited to speak directly about the work of the Consortium, bringing PrAKI to one of the most influential global nephrology audiences in the world.

Alongside the presentations, the Consortium co-hosted a workshop on the Global PrAKI Snapshot with the ISN, generating enormous interest from sites around the world and refining the protocol and definitions. We also worked with the ISN Train the Trainer programme [link: ISN Pregnancy and Kidney Disease Toolkit], strengthening the networks that will carry PrAKI education into clinical settings globally.

And then came the moment we had been working towards. At the World Congress of Nephrology, we officially opened the Global PrAKI Snapshot for site registration. The global count starts here.

Tokyo confirmed what we already believed. The appetite for this work is real, the network is growing, and the momentum is building.
