WHO kidney health resolution win!
The World Health Organsiation (WHO) has taken a historic step to prioritse kidney health in the noncommunicable diseases (NCD) agenda at the 78th World Health Assembly.
This landmark achievement in the global fight against kidney disease will enable a conserted effort globally to address the escalating and serious issue of kidney disease.
The ISN President, Professor Marcello Tonelli said
“Now we must follow-through and turn words into actions: We need steady investment, teamwork across sectors, and real action in every corner of the globe. This isn’t just about better kidney care — it’s about making healthcare fairer and more accessible for everyone, especially in lower-income countries that need it most.”
The Global PrAKI Consortium will leverage this huge step forward and do our piece to contribute to this goal.
